Urges public and private schools in Hawaii (kindergarten through high school) to develop and increase activities that foster appreciation and understanding of multiple cultures.

Recognizes that multi-cultural understanding was identified as a priority by participants in the 2015 Hawaii Children and Youth Summit.

Notes that exposure to and participation in activities of other cultures can generate broader cultural understanding and help prevent conflict between people.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, and Executive Director of the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools.
