Request the State Auditor to conduct an operational and performance audit of the University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources research stations across Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, Molokai, and Oahu.

Audit to assess whether the University is managing its research stations and using available resources efficiently and effectively.

Require the University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources to cooperate with the audit.

Direct the Auditor to report findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the Regular Session of 2017.

Transmission of certified copies to the State Auditor, University of Hawaii President, and Dean and Director for Research and Cooperative Extension of the College.
