• Requests the Department of Health to convene a task force to evaluate and recommend designs for accredited post-doctoral forensic training programs for psychiatrists and psychologists.

• Task force to consider training requirements meeting American Board of Forensic Psychology and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification standards, accreditation requirements, and collaborative arrangements with Department of Health, Department of Public Safety, and the Judiciary.

• Task force membership composed of representatives from the Department of Health, Attorney General, Department of Public Safety, Judiciary, William S. Richardson School of Law, John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii Psychology Department, and two independent community-based forensic examiners.

• Director of Health or designee to chair the task force, which must meet monthly from July 2016 through December 2016.

• Task force required to submit final report with recommendations and any proposed legislation by twenty days prior to the 2017 Regular Session convening.
