Establishes a Center for Women in Technology within the University of Hawaii Department of Information and Computer Sciences.

Center shall develop marketing and outreach to build interest in computer science among women, review curriculum for gender-friendly teaching methods, and set measurable enrollment goals.

Center to coordinate programs with middle and high schools including mentoring, summer workshops, and after-school computer science courses.

Center director appointed by and responsible to the University of Hawaii chancellor; may use existing state personnel and contract additional staff outside civil service requirements.

Director must submit annual reports to the legislature no later than twenty days before each regular legislative session convening.
