Amends Section 134-11(a) of Hawaii Revised Statutes to exempt corrections officers (as defined in section 88-21) from firearm permit requirements, allowing them to carry concealed weapons without a permit.

Exemption applies only to corrections officers who have not been convicted of an offense involving abuse of a family or household member under section 709-906.

Corrections officers join existing exempt categories including state and county law enforcement officers, armed forces members, and certain other government employees performing official duties.

Takes effect upon approval.
