Amends search warrant statutes to allow courts to authorize individuals or entities outside law enforcement to provide technical assistance in executing search warrants involving electronic devices or storage media.

Requires officers seeking technical assistance to submit a sworn statement to the judge or magistrate certifying the reliability, qualifications, and necessity of the technical assistance provider.

Specifies that technical assistance providers cannot be compelled to assist without their consent.

Updates statutory language to include police officers alongside deputies in warrant execution and clarifies that search warrants may identify authorized technical assistance providers.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
