Appropriates $183,818 from general revenues for fiscal years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 to fund two specialist II positions within the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (personnel specialist II position number 69987 and educational specialist II position number 74675).

Addresses staffing reductions that occurred since 2012 when the board relinquished general fund support and transitioned to special fund financing, which caused significant hardship and reduced office capacity.

Directs the appropriated funds to be expended by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board to support its mission of setting high teacher licensing and credentialing standards.

Expresses legislative intent that these two positions should be funded as line items in the executive budget moving forward.

Effective July 1, 2060.
