Prohibits commissioned notary publics from accepting a limited purpose driver's license issued under section 286-104.5 as satisfactory proof of identification when notarizing documents.

Maintains existing requirements for notary publics to verify signer identity by personal knowledge or by comparing personal appearance with satisfactory proof of identity.

Maintains existing requirements for notary publics who did not witness the signing to verify the signer's signature through personal familiarity or comparison with satisfactory proof.

Violation constitutes a misdemeanor with sentencing under chapter 706, and results in automatic revocation of the notary public's commission.

Effective date: July 1, 2050.
