Request the State Auditor to conduct a management audit of the Hawaii Tourism Authority to examine its internal governance practices, budget, and expenditures.

Cite Hawaii's tourism industry generating approximately 8.9 million visitors and $15.6 billion in visitor spending in 2016 as justification for oversight.

Require the Auditor to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2018 Regular Session convenes.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Auditor, Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, and the Hawaii Tourism Authority's President and Chief Executive Officer.
