Recognizes pornography as a public health hazard that perpetuates a sexually toxic environment, contributes to hypersexualization of minors, and increases isolation and relationship breakdowns

States that children as young as 9 and 10 are exposed to pornography at alarming rates due to internet and social media access, leading to low self-esteem, body image disorders, and risky sexual behavior

Identifies pornography's detrimental effects on brain development, emotional and medical health, intimate relationships, and contribution to normalizing violence and objectifying people

Calls for systematic efforts to prevent exposure and addiction, educate individuals and families about harms, develop recovery programs, and implement education, prevention, research, and policy changes at community and societal levels

Directs certified copies of the resolution be sent to the Superintendent of Education, Director of Health, President of the Hawaii Association of School Psychologists, and President of the Hawaii State Parent Teacher Student Association
