Honors Cierra Nakamura, a senior at Iolani School, for creating "Spreading Smiles Across Miles," a program that donates dental hygiene products to impoverished families in underdeveloped Asia-Pacific countries.

Recognizes Evan Liu, a junior at Punahou School, as a finalist for his volunteer work at Kuakini Hospital, the International Hospitality Center, and Smile Train, where he fundraises for cleft lip surgeries.

Recognizes Lisa Kam, a senior at Maryknoll School, as a finalist for developing the Family Oriented Cultural Understanding Study (FOCUS) program with the Hawaii Chinese History Center to help students trace their Chinese heritage.

Honors Kacie Kajihara, a senior at Kalani High School and National Merit Semi-Finalist, for conducting agricultural experiments on papaya growth and nutrition that earned a second place gold medal at the 2016 National FFA Agroscience Fair.
