Recognizes Coach David Shoji for his exemplary contributions to the University of Hawaii women's volleyball program over four decades.

Shoji began coaching the Rainbow Wahines in 1975, the same year Title IX was applied to women's college sports, and never experienced a losing season in his tenure.

Led the program to four national championships and coached 86 All-American selections, 35 conference Players of the Year, and 175 all-conference selections.

Shoji has been inducted into the American Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame, and was selected as Coach of the Year five times.
