Hawaii House of Representatives endorses and adopts the United Nations' seventeen Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for addressing social justice and sustainability in Hawaii.

The seventeen goals include: no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry and innovation, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace and justice, and partnerships for goals.

Legislature urges all county councils to endorse and use the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals as measurements for each county's efforts regarding people, peace, and the planet.

Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the President of the United States, U.S. Senate Majority Leader, U.S. House Speaker, UN Secretary-General, Hawaii Governor, county mayors and councils, state department heads, and University of Hawaii leadership.
