Prohibits commissioned notary publics from accepting a limited purpose driver's license as verification of identification.

Amends section 456-20 of Hawaii Revised Statutes regarding the offense of failure to verify identity and signature by notaries public.

Violation of this provision remains a misdemeanor offense with sentencing in accordance with chapter 706.

A conviction under this section results in automatic revocation of the notary public's commission.

Effective date: January 7, 2059.
