Expands dental licensure examination requirements to accept passage of any nationally recognized clinical dental examination recommended by the American Dental Association, not just the ADEX examination.

Allows applicants to qualify for licensure by holding a valid dentistry license in another state with equivalent examination requirements and at least 5 years of practice experience, provided they graduated from an accredited dental school and are in good standing.

Removes the previous restriction that limited approved examinations to only the ADEX examination, addressing difficulties faced by experienced out-of-state dentists seeking to relocate to Hawaii.

Intended to increase access to dental services in Hawaii by allowing more qualified, experienced dentists from other states to practice within the state.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
