Extends the lapse date for a $1,000,000 appropriation for mitigating hazardous situations statewide from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2019.

Allows the Governor to designate state employees, agents, contractors, or representatives to enter private property to mitigate hazard situations when no emergency exists, with notice and opportunity for property owners to resolve issues first.

As of November 30, 2016, the program had received 598 cases with 474 resolved, demonstrating effectiveness in reducing damage from hazards like fallen Albizia trees.

Approximately $300,000 of the original $1,000,000 funding had been obligated by November 2016, with $700,000 remaining available under the extended lapse date.

Takes effect on June 29, 2017.
