Appropriates $100,000 to the Department of Accounting and General Services for fiscal year 2017-2018 to study rehabilitation and renovation alternatives for the state capitol reflecting pool.

Study must include alternative solutions for repairing existing damage, restoring the pool, waterproofing to prevent water infiltration, and reducing water volume and consumption.

Study must conform to the Secretary of the Interior's standards for rehabilitation of historic places and keep costs within budget estimates of $1,200,000 for design and $14,000,000 for construction.

Department shall collaborate with the historic preservation division of the Department of Land and Natural Resources, University of Hawaii School of Architecture, Hawaii Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and submit completed study to the state capitol management committee for review.

Effective date is July 1, 2017.
