• Renames the "High Technology Development Corporation" to the "Hawaii Technology Development Corporation" effective July 1, 2017

• Substitutes the term "technology" for "high technology" throughout Chapter 206M, Hawaii Revised Statutes and related statutes (sections 26-18, 171-2, 206M-1, 206M-2, and others)

• Repeals Chapter 206M, Part II, which established the Hawaii Software Service Center, an unfunded and inactive entity for at least ten years

• Exempts existing contracts, leases, rules, and appropriations using the old "high technology development corporation" or "high technology special fund" terminology from invalidation
