Legislature endorses and adopts the United Nations seventeen sustainable development goals as a framework for addressing Hawaii's efforts toward social justice and sustainability.

Urges all county councils to endorse and use the seventeen sustainable development goals as measurements for each county's efforts regarding people, peace, and the planet.

The seventeen goals include: no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry and innovation, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace and justice, and partnerships for the goals.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to federal officials, the UN Secretary-General, Hawaii state officials, county mayors and council chairpersons, and heads of state departments and the University of Hawaii System.
