Requests the John A. Burns School of Medicine to establish a chronic disease working group by July 1, 2018, to discuss nutrition and lifestyle behavior changes for chronic disease prevention and treatment.

Working group should explore disseminating educational materials on chronic disease prevention to all licensed physicians and hospitals in Hawaii.

Working group should examine setting content standards for continuing education requirements on chronic disease prevention and treatment through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Working group must submit a report with any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2019 Regular Session convenes.

Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Dean of the John A. Burns School of Medicine and the Director of Health.
