Urges the Department of Education to continue and expand its efforts to engage community groups in educating children and youth in Hawaii's public schools.

References the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (2015) as supporting development of local educational innovations and partnerships between local leaders and educators.

Recognizes that public-private partnerships with community organizations have positively impacted schools in language education, STEM education, scholarships, and technological resources.

Emphasizes that every Hawaii public school student deserves access to safe, quality after-school programs supporting health, safety, learning, and overall well-being.

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, and Director of the Community Engagement Office.
