Urges the Office of Planning to study and update the Hawaii State Planning Act's economic objectives and policies for agriculture, which currently prioritize sugar and pineapple industries.

Requests the Office of Planning work with the Department of Agriculture to realign agricultural priorities to reflect sustainable agriculture, self-sufficiency, and long-term vision for Hawaii's food production.

Requires the Office of Planning to submit a long-term vision statement and updated priority list of state economic objectives for agriculture to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2018 Regular Session.

Notes that sugar and pineapple farming has significantly declined in Hawaii, with Maui sugar operations ceasing in 2016 and pineapple exportation substantially decreasing.
