Recognizes April 15 through April 22, 2018, as Volunteer Week in the State of Hawaii in conjunction with National Volunteer Week.

References President Richard Nixon's 1974 Presidential Proclamation 4288 establishing National Volunteer Week to recognize and encourage community volunteer service.

Acknowledges KANU Hawaii, a local non-profit organization with over 15,000 registered members, which seeks to grow connections between volunteers and local businesses, non-profit organizations, and community organizations.

Notes that the United States volunteer force exceeds 63,000,000 people and plays a vital role in addressing community issues and strengthening the nation.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor and the Executive Director of KANU Hawaii.
