Amends Section 134-11 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to exempt corrections officers, as defined in section 88-21, from firearm registration and permitting requirements.

Exemption applies to off-duty corrections officers carrying concealed weapons, provided they have no conviction for abuse of a family or household member under section 709-906.

Corrections officers are added to existing exemptions that already apply to state and county law enforcement officers, armed forces members, and other government employees whose duties require them to be armed.

Becomes effective upon approval.
