Appropriates $3,000,000 for fiscal year 2017-2018 and $3,000,000 for fiscal year 2018-2019 to the University of Hawaii for renovations at 2350 Dole Street, Honolulu, Oahu.

Funds designated for renovations of soundstages and studio spaces within the facility that will serve as the permanent home of the Academy for Creative Media.

Addresses the Academy for Creative Media's relocation from temporary facilities to the former PBS building, which requires major upgrades to meet twenty-first century media program standards.

Intended to support Hawaii's creative youth retention and attract non-residents to pursue education in Hawaii, benefiting the State's film and media industries.

Takes effect on July 1, 2017.
