• Automatically imposes a restraining order on all parties filing for annulment, divorce, or separation in Hawaii, effective upon filing for the plaintiff and upon service or acceptance of service for the defendant.

• Restraining order prohibits parties from selling, transferring, or disposing of property except for reasonable living expenses, ordinary business operations, attorney's fees, written agreements, or court orders.

• Prohibits parties from incurring additional debts that would burden the other party's credit, changing beneficiaries on life insurance or retirement accounts without written consent, or removing the other party or minor children from existing insurance coverage.

• Prohibits either party from removing a minor child from the island of current residence or from the school the child currently attends.

• Defendant may file a motion to set aside or modify the order without submitting to court jurisdiction; order remains in effect during the action unless modified by agreement or court order, and is vacated upon entry of final decree.
