Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 291E-44.5 and 291E-61 to modify requirements for permits allowing driving during license revocation periods for employment purposes.

Changes employer sworn statements to specify "the period of the specified assigned hours of work" as an alternative to the previous 12-hour maximum per day limitation.

Requires employer statements to identify specific vehicles the respondent or defendant will drive for employment purposes and the hours or work period during which driving is authorized.

Permits issued under these provisions remain restricted to specified employment hours, specified vehicles only, and require the permit be kept in the driver's possession while operating the employer's vehicle.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
