HI HB2098

Authorizes the Board of Land and Natural Resources to transfer operation, administration, management, and maintenance duties of the Kihei Small Boat Harbor to the Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission.

Permits issuance and collection of certain permits and fees to remain under the statewide boating program and be deposited in the boating special fund.

Requires the Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission to comply with Chapter 200 and all other applicable laws if it assumes these duties.

Allows funds to be transferred between the Board and the Commission as necessary, with legislative transfers to be reported to the legislature.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
