• Authorizes the Department of Education to establish a Farm to School Program to expand student farm-based education, increase procurement of locally-grown foods, and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture.

• Requires the Department of Education to designate a farm to school coordinator who must collaborate with the farm to school coordinator in the Department of Agriculture on program activities and initiatives.

• Amends section 141-11 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to require the farm to school coordinator in the Department of Agriculture to work with the Department of Education on any farm to school program established.

• Appropriates funds for two full-time equivalent (2.0 FTE) farm to school staff positions in the Department of Education for fiscal year 2018-2019.

• Takes effect on July 1, 2025.
