Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs shall conduct a feasibility study on deploying broadband technology to all county- and state-run senior centers in Hawaii.

Study must include estimated costs for broadband equipment installation, purchase or lease of equipment, employee training, equipment operation and maintenance, and program development for seniors.

Study shall identify potential funding sources including federal grants, private funds, and nonprofit organizations, and inventory existing broadband capacity and programs at senior centers.

Department must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2019 regular session.

Appropriates $25,000 from general revenues for fiscal year 2018-2019 to conduct the feasibility study.
