HB2508 Summary

• Amends Section 302D-29.5 to include "rental or lease of facilities" as an allowable use for legislative appropriations and bond authorizations to the State Public Charter School Commission for charter school improvements.

• Appropriates general revenue funds for fiscal year 2018-2019 to the State Public Charter School Commission for infrastructure costs, lease or rental assistance, and network infrastructure repair and maintenance for charter schools.

• Establishes that charter school facilities funding shall be separate from and in addition to operational appropriations under Section 302D-28, with allocation prioritized by the charter school facilities funding working group.

• Takes effect on July 1, 2025.
