Repeals requirement that the Department of Human Services determine the specific amount of liability insurance coverage child care providers must obtain and maintain.

Repeals requirement for child care providers to disclose summary information about liability insurance (insurer name, contact information, coverage amounts, and effective dates) to parents and guardians at time of application.

Retains requirement that providers notify parents and guardians within seven working days of any change, cancellation, or termination of liability insurance coverage.

Extends the deadline for the Department of Human Services to submit a report to the legislature from 2018 to 2019, removing the requirement to report on insurance coverage amounts and refocusing the report on insurance costs and departmental outreach efforts.

Delays implementation and enforcement of liability insurance requirements under Act 161 from January 1, 2019 to July 1, 2019.
