Establishes a medical cannabis insurance reimbursement working group to study the complexities of making medical cannabis reimbursable through health insurance.

Working group shall explore actions taken in other states, parallel reimbursement models for non-prescription therapies, liability issues for health plans, potential insurance premium impacts, and insurance riders for alternative therapies.

Membership includes chairs of senate and house commerce/health committees (serving as co-chairs), insurance commissioner, medicaid administrator, representatives from mutual benefit societies, health maintenance organizations, medicaid managed care plans, and medical cannabis dispensaries, plus two medical cannabis program participants.

Working group must convene no later than August 1, 2018, and submit a final report with legislative recommendations to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2019 regular session.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
