Appropriates $250,000 for fiscal year 2017-2018 and $250,000 for fiscal year 2018-2019 to the Department of Human Services to conduct a study on creating an integrated homeless services database.

Study shall examine the impact and feasibility of a database providing homeless service providers access to police, medical, social services, and mental health records of homeless individuals.

Database purpose is to improve tracking of services provided to homeless individuals and optimize program costs.

Addresses the State's homelessness challenge, with 7,921 homeless individuals identified in the 2016 Point-In-Time Count, a 4% increase from 2015.

Takes effect on July 1, 2017.
