Appropriates funds for fiscal years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 to establish one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) associate specialist position within the University of Hawaii Center on Aging.

Addresses Hawaii's rapidly aging population, which is expected to comprise 23% of the state by 2030, by expanding the center's capacity to develop gerontology education and workforce training programs.

Enables the center to teach gerontology courses across multiple disciplines (health, social work, public health, business, engineering, urban planning) and provide continuing education to the community.

Takes effect on July 1, 2050.
