Requires health insurance policies issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2018 to cover case management services provided by licensed mental health providers for victims of sexual violence who suffer from mental illness.

Defines "case management" as professional intervention that identifies needs and assists victims in obtaining coordinated, appropriate services and resources, including coordination with other health care providers and assistance in accessing government programs and community services.

Specifies that licensed mental health providers eligible to provide covered case management services include physicians, licensed mental health counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed clinical social workers, psychologists, and licensed dieticians treating eating disorders.

Applies to all health benefits plans under chapter 87A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as well as individual and group accident and health insurance policies, hospital and medical service plan contracts, nonprofit mutual benefit societies, fraternal benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations.

Establishes that case management services must be part of an individualized treatment plan and are intended to address the severe mental health impacts of sexual violence, including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and other mental health conditions documented in the legislation.
