H.B. 673 - Child Care Facilities Inspections and Reporting

• Requires the Department of Human Services to post electronic copies of all child care facility inspection reports on its website within 30 working days of inspection completion, beginning January 1, 2018.

• Inspection reports must include the inspection date, descriptions of violations, corrective action plans and status, facility-submitted corrective actions, and other quality and condition information deemed appropriate by the department.

• Mandates annual legislative reports on all records and actions involving suspected or actual violations, including the department's findings and any corrective actions ordered such as license suspensions or revocations.

• Maintains existing protections for sensitive personal information in family and group child care home records and complainant identities, with a ten-day investigation hold period for active complaint investigations (no release if criminal offense is involved).

• Appropriates unspecified funds for fiscal years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 to implement the reporting and website posting requirements.
