Recognizes April 7 through April 13, 2019, as Volunteer Week in the State of Hawaii in conjunction with National Volunteer Week.

References Presidential Proclamation 4288 from President Richard Nixon in 1974, which first designated National Volunteer Week to recognize and encourage community volunteer service.

Acknowledges that the United States has over 63 million volunteers who play a vital role in communities and the nation's future as a caring and productive society.

Encourages volunteerism and the philanthropic spirit among Hawaii residents during the designated week.

Directs transmittal of a certified copy of the resolution to the Governor.
