Department of Health requested to convene a task force to examine statewide domestic violence assessments and response protocols for emergency medical services personnel.

Task force membership includes the Director of Health (chair), Emergency Medical Services chiefs from all four counties, one legislator from each chamber (with at least one from Women's Legislative Caucus), and representatives from domestic violence advocacy organizations.

Task force chair authorized to invite additional members including police chiefs from all four counties and representatives from entities that share data related to domestic violence incidents.

Task force directed to examine whether domestic violence assessment protocols can better protect victims and first responders, and to identify implementation issues.

Task force required to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2019 Regular Session convenes.
