Requests the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu to reevaluate the accessory dwelling unit (ADU) permitting process in urban Honolulu.

Calls for requiring two parking spaces for ADUs on the property lot regardless of proximity to rail stations, instead of the current requirement of only one parking space or no parking space if located within one-half mile of an existing or planned rail station.

Notes that as of September 2017, the City and County of Honolulu approved 248 ADU permits with 113 additional applications under review, and approximately 20,000 lots in Honolulu are zoned for ADUs.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu and the Director of Planning and Permitting.
