Recognizes April 7 through April 13, 2019, as Volunteer Week in the State of Hawaii in conjunction with the observance of National Volunteer Week

References Presidential Proclamation 4288 from President Richard Nixon in 1974, which first designated National Volunteer Week to recognize and encourage community volunteer service

Acknowledges that the United States has over 63,000,000 volunteers who play a vital role in communities and the nation's future as a caring and productive society

Notes that establishing Volunteer Week in Hawaii will encourage volunteerism and the philanthropic spirit among residents

Requires a certified copy of the resolution to be transmitted to the Governor
