Supports the purchase, preservation, and restoration of agricultural and conservation lands in Maunawili Valley, O'ahu, including ancient and historic sites, trails, and waters.

Commends HRT Realty, LLC, Hui Maunawili-Kawainui, and The Trust for Public Land for collaborative efforts toward a possible conservation purchase of HRT Realty's Maunawili lands (over 1,000 acres).

Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Department of Agriculture, City and County of Honolulu, and Hawaii's congressional delegation to work with The Trust for Public Land and Hui Maunawili-Kawainui to acquire the agricultural, cultural, and historic lands.

Recognizes Maunawili Valley's importance as a source of fresh water (over fifty springs and streams), wetlands supporting the Kawainui Marsh ecosystem, and historically fertile soil for food production.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Governor, Mayor of Honolulu, Honolulu City Council Chair, state and federal officials, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and The Trust for Public Land.
