Department of Education requested to establish task force to develop sustainable child sexual abuse prevention initiatives focused on awareness, education, prevention, and advocacy.

Task force comprised of 14 members including Superintendent of Education (chair), Directors of Health and Human Services, Attorney General, Board of Education member, school principals, charter school representative, and heads of relevant child advocacy organizations.

Task force directed to consider current resources available in public and private schools for sexual abuse prevention education and factors heightening children's risk including socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and geographic location.

Task force required to submit report to Legislature no later than 20 days prior to convening of Regular Session of 2019 on progress developing child sexual abuse prevention initiatives.

Certified copies to be transmitted to Chair of Board of Education, Superintendent of Education, Directors of Health and Human Services, Attorney General, and Executive Directors of relevant organizations.
