Commends, congratulates, and honors Bianca Yanuaria for receiving the 2018 Hawaii School Counselor Association State Counselor of the Year Award.

Recognizes Yanuaria's four years of service as School Counselor at Keolu Elementary and her educational background including a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from University of California, Davis and a Master's Degree in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento.

Acknowledges her innovative initiatives at Keolu Elementary including a recess conflict resolution program, an attendance program that reduced chronic absenteeism from 17% to 6%, integration of guidance lessons into the school garden, and an Aloha Committee to build faculty relationships.

Notes that Yanuaria was selected as the standout choice among more than 600 public and private school counselors across Hawaii and represented the state at the ASCA 2018 Counselor of the Year ceremony in Washington, D.C.
