Adventist Health Castle was founded in 1963 as Castle Memorial Hospital with 72 beds and 14 bassinets, supported by community donations, Castle Ranch, and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

The hospital ranks in the top ten percent nationally for disease prevention and treatment programs and improved performance on safety, evidence-based care, and mortality measures in the two years prior to the award.

Adventist Health Castle received the 2017 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, one of only four organizations nationally honored that year for exemplary practices in innovation, leadership, and administrative improvement.

The House of Representatives applauds the hospital's commitment to excellence and the collective efforts of its staff, physicians, volunteers, and partners in pursuing quality care and advancing leadership and customer service.
