Urges the Department of Accounting and General Services and the Department of Land and Natural Resources to assess the feasibility of prohibiting parking at Iolani Palace.

Calls for removal of the blacktop parking lot in front of Iolani Palace and renovation of the area into a pedestrian-friendly zone.

Recognizes Iolani Palace as the only royal palace in the United States, a National Historic Landmark completed in 1882 that served as the royal residence of Queen Liliuokalani, the last reigning monarch of Hawaii.

States that the current parking lot with parking meters detracts from the architectural magnificence of the Palace and should not exist on hallowed ground.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, State Comptroller, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Hawaiian Homes Commission, Kamehameha Schools, and the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs.
