HI SB101

Adds a new section to Chapter 36, Hawaii Revised Statutes requiring employer contributions to the Employees' Retirement System for special fund-financed employees be paid from the respective special fund rather than the general fund.

Applies to civil service or exempt status employees whose salaries are funded through special fund revenues and whose retirement contributions go to the State's Employees' Retirement System.

Overrides any existing law that would otherwise direct these employer retirement contributions to be paid from the general fund.

Takes effect upon approval.
