HI SB2154

Repeals the requirement for noncandidate committee organizational reports to include information about contributors and their contributions.

Removes the requirement to report names, addresses, occupations, and employers of contributors who gave more than $100 in aggregate to the committee.

Eliminates the requirement for committees making independent expenditures to disclose funding sources of $100 or more from contributing entities that received contributions exceeding $10,000 in an election period.

Maintains other organizational report requirements including committee name, address, sponsoring entity information, officer details, and certification by chairperson and treasurer.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
