Extends the sunset date of Act 65 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2013) from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2023, which provides a limited licensing exemption for individuals employed by electrical contractors retained by public utilities to perform high voltage work (600 volts or higher)

Requires the board of electricians and plumbers to submit reports to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to regular sessions in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023

Reports must address vocational training programs for high voltage work, availability of continuing education and training, the number of licensed electricians qualified for high voltage work, and opportunities for growth in the high voltage specialty

Takes effect on June 29, 2018
