HI SB2306

Prohibits homeowners insurers from cancelling or refusing to renew a policy solely because the insured must obtain liability insurance coverage to operate a family child care home as required by the Department of Human Services.

Allows insurers to cancel or refuse renewal for any other reasons not prohibited by law.

Defines "family child care home" by reference to section 346-151 of Hawaii Revised Statutes.

Does not affect rights, duties, or proceedings that existed before the effective date.

Effective date: July 1, 2050.
